One day summer reboot

One Day Summer Reboot

This super refreshing, day-long liquid plan has been designed to help you reboot when you don’t have much time. With a collection of some of our recipes from the 28-Day Reset programme, this cleansing menu is best served with one long walk (around 2 hours), lots of water and time to rest and reflect. Need a caffeine fix? Try swapping out your morning brew with an iced green tea – it’s an ARTAH HQ summer staple and we swear by it when we need a little pick me up but don’t want to add to our cortisol load. If you just can’t say no that morning cuppa, then enjoy 1 cup only, and then move on to green tea. Finally, if you want to super charge your reboot, consider starting the day with a contrast shower and ending it with a juicy yin session. Head over to our IG for a yin for sleep session with our resident yogi Olive) .

Breakfast shake : Hemp 1

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp hulled hemp seeds
  • 1 date
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 1⁄2 cups nut milk

Method:

Blend everything together until smooth.

Lunch: Green Gazpacho

Super refreshing and incredibly easy to make, this green gazpacho is great as a starter or light main. We recommend you use a good, high quality olive oil and white wine vinegar – they will transform the dish and really elevate the flavours.

Ingredients:

  • 1 & 1⁄2 large cucumbers, roughly chopped, skin on
  • 2 spring onions, outer leaves removed and roughly chopped
  • 1 large sized bunch of basil, using all leaves and stalks
  • 1 large lemon, juiced
  • 1 large clove of garlic, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar or white balsamic vinegar
  • 100ml water
  • 1.5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • sea salt and black pepper, to taste

Method:

Place all your ingredients in a high speed blender and process until smooth, add a little more water if the gazpacho is too thick. Taste and adjust the seasoning, it may need more vinegar, salt, pepper or lemon. Once you are happy with the flavour and consistency, refrigerate your soup for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Mid-afternoon shake: Pink 1

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup watermelon
  • 1⁄2 cup raspberries
  • 1 inch cucumber
  • juice of 1⁄2 lime
  • 1 cup unsweetened nut milk
  • 2 tbsp hulled hemp seeds

Method:

Blend everything together until smooth.

Dinner: Simple Asparagus Soup

One of our favourite soups for a detoxing feel, this simple soup is packed with flavour and is full of phtyo-nutrients that support the liver. It’s a great option for the first few days of any detox, is super easy on the gut and a good way to pack in loads of nutrition before bed.

Ingredients:

  • 2 bunches asparagus
  • 3 handfuls organic spinach
  • 1 large white onion
  • 1 leek (optional)
  • 4 cups vegan, msg-free vegetable broth or water
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • lemon to taste
  • 1⁄4 cup pine nuts
  • Optional: 1 bunch fresh parsley

Method:

Sauté onion & leek with coconut oil until translucent. Add the asparagus and stock and cook for 10 minutes. Turn the heat off and add pine nuts, spinach and seasoning. Transfer to the blender and blend until smooth. Add lemon to taste. We also love this soup with a whole bunch of fresh parsley (add at the blender phase), which strengthens its nutritional status and also gives a bright fresh flavour.
